...yet! so you know those really great pictures where the subject is in total focus but the backgroundis blurring... yeah, i totally want to do that.... learning to use this camera is fun, but frustrating too. here is my best attempt so far... the background is kinda blurring...right?

The background is definitely blurry. Good job. Are you using a really low aperture to get that effect? That is how I would reccomend doing it.
don't ask me I am a terrible picture taker.
Love the shot, yes, it's blurry in the background. Can we move onto taking photos of friends that make them look thinner?
